Intended Uses of the Whole-Body CTD (v.1)Updated 25 days ago

The product is intended for use by both physiotherapists and individuals over the age of 18 and is suitable for use in clinical, hospital, healthcare, and home settings.

TENS therapy involves applying low–voltage electric currents to the skin surface via electrodes to relieve chronic pain. The electrical impulses reduce the transmission of pain signals to the central nervous system.

  • Pain associated with sore and aching muscles

  • Symptomatic relief and management of chronic, intractable pain

  • Pain associated with arthritis

  • Menstrual pain and discomfort

In contrast, NMES uses electrical impulses to trigger muscular contractions and improve muscle strength, making it a non–invasive approach to muscle enhancement.

  • Improve and facilitate muscle performance
  • Reduce or prevent disuse atrophy

  • Maintaining or increasing range of motion

  • Re-educating muscles

  • Relaxation of muscle spasms

  • Temporarily increasing local blood circulation
