Here is a study as well, however, not as relevant as this is NMES use during advanced stages of cancer.

We always recommend consulting with your physician before using the Corrective Therapy Device and we do not recommend putting the device over any skin conditions such as eczema, skin cancer, lesions, etc.…
These are only 2 studies of over 1200 studies including NMES on the National Institute Of Health from heart failure rehab to post-operative recovery in knee replacement patients.

Hopefully this helps clear the air as this technology is actually being studied in use of cancer patients to improve strength and QoL (Quality of life).
