BurnsUpdated a year ago

Skin irritation and skin burns are possible with electrical stimulation.

It is common to observe a slight reddening of the skin under the electrodes after applying NMES because of the increased blood supply to the area.

Mild skin irritation is sometimes seen due to allergic factors (electrode compounds, electrode gel, self-adhesive gum, tape) or mechanical factors (skin abrasion from removal). An electrical burn may be caused by current density being too high; this is a particular risk when using a high intensity level.

Stop using the device and consult with your physician if you experience any adverse reactions from use of this device.
